Why is
Teton Wireless High Speed Internet the best choice?
Teton Wireless High Speed Internet
utilizes private frequencies to transmit data to your home.
Unlike other ‘wireless Internet’ providers, we have approvalby
the FCC to broadcast at higher power. Since we are licensed, Teton
Wireless Internet customers will not be subject to
interference, which can drastically decrease speeds or
interrupt service.
And since we're wireless, we can provide High
Speed Internet in town AND in the country - we don't need copper phone
lines or fiber cable to deliver the service!
How fast is the Teton
Wireless Internet service?
Depending on your
location, different speed options are available: 256K,
384K, 500K, 1.5M and 3.0M service. 1.5M service is about 30 times
faster than dial up. This speed is the ‘download’ speed, which is
how fast Web pages download to your computer. Upload speeds are from
1/4 to 1/2 of download speeds.
How much does it cost?
Package start as low as
$19.95 per month, and vary by state.

Can I use Teton Wireless
Internet at my business?
Teton Wireless Internet is
great for home users, students, home offices, small offices and folks who
want to telecommute. It is a shared Internet service however, not a
dedicated, business type of connection. If you have a large office
network, VPN or dedicated circuit requirements, or need to host a Web
site or other server, please call us to determine how we can assist you.

Are speeds guaranteed?
Each level of Internet Service has an ‘up to’
speed range (i.e., up to 384 Kbps, or up to 1.5 Mbps) and is delivered
"Best Effort", that is, there is no minimum rate guarantee. Due to
the variability of customers' computer systems, the addition of third
party hardware and software, and the very nature of the Internet, as well
as other factors beyond the control of Teton Wireless, there is no
guarantee or warranty that the Internet Service will perform at the upper
end of the rate range. Throughput speeds associated with some
or all features of the Service (e.g., certain file sharing programs,
Usenet, email) may be limited, at Teton Wireless' sole discretion, and
such limitations will have no effect on whether the minimum speed is met.

please review our
Terms and Conditions.
Do I need a phone line?
No, the Teton Wireless
Internet service is “always on” and runs across our privately licensed
Wireless network, then out to the Internet via multiple fiber runs.
Because the connection from your computer to the Internet is over our
Wireless network, you will not need a phone line.

are special modems optimized for operation on wireless systems.
In Idaho only, we also support the Motorola Model SB5100 and SB5102 Surfboard Modems
and the Motorola SB900 Gateway, which is an all-in-one
Modem/Firewall/Wireless Router device. Other cable modems are not approved for operation on the Teton Wireless
networks.
What happens if my modem
breaks?
Each modem carries a
one-year warranty and will be replaced at no charge if there is any
problem. The most common problems with the modem can be solved by
power cycling the modem itself.
Do you provide email
addresses?
As of July 1, 2007, Teton Wireless no longer
provides email addresses to new accounts. Our customers have told us
that they already have an email address that they will continue to use
with our service through their business, school, or other affiliation or
that they will set up an email account using one of several solutions
that are available on the Internet, such as Yahoo!, gmail or Hotmail.
If you already have an email account through Teton Wireless, we will
continue to support that address for you.
Can I keep my current email account?
Most Web-based email
services will work with Teton Wireless Internet, including AOL and
Hotmail; however, some third party email services will not work for
sending mail.

hook up multiple computers to Teton Wireless Internet. Up to 4 computers can run on the 1.5M service.
Teton Wireless will provide you 1 or more static IP addresses on our

both ways over our private wireless network.
If you require end-to-end
encryption or firewalls or other security, we can provide you with a
Linksys Wireless Router and Firewall for an additional fee. For
other features, such as parental controls, you can easily install
equipment yourself and
add these features; or consult a networking expert for more information.
