Teton Wireless Static IP Settings Guide
- Linksys Routers

In order to configure
your Linksys router with a static IP address, you will need the following
information:
IP Address
Subnet Mask
Default Gateway
Domain Name Server (DNS)
addresses
Access the Router's Web interface by
typing http://192.168.1.1 into your Web
browser.
A password window will appear.
Leave username blank and enter the password as admin (all lower
case). Click OK.
Once on the Setup page, go directly to
the WAN IP Address or WAN Connection Type tab and change the option from
Obtain an IP address
Automatically
to
Specify an IP Address.
Enter your IP Address,
Subnet Mask, Default Gateway Address and Domain Name Server (DNS)
addresses.
Scroll down and click
Apply.
If settings are accepted,
be sure the LAN setting for DHCP is Enabled to automatically assign
private IP Addresses to your computers.
Plug your computer(s) in
to the Router, and be sure the computers' network settings are configured
to Obtain IP Address Automatically. We do recommend that you
retain the DNS addresses in each computers' network settings as well as in
the Router.
